Very Cherry Smoothie Bowl

Hello & Good Morning!

Here’s a smoothie bowl you’ll want to make time and again.

It’s satisfying, delicious, sweet & refreshing and perfect for these warmer spring mornings.

I feel like some people are either/or. They either love smoothies OR they love smoothies bowls.

I’m here to tell you why smoothie bowls are such a great option and it has to do with satiety for me.

Yes, smoothies are convenient, easy and quick. You can throw them back before you run out the door. But smoothie BOWLS have the satiation factor.

Idk about you but smoothies are like a liquid vitamin for me, I know they’re great for me, they taste good. But I am never full after a smoothie.

With smoothie bowls we have the option to add nuts, seeds, nut butters and other wonderful toppings! All which we can customize to our liking and personal preferences or allergies, if needed.

I have tried adding nuts and seeds INTO a smoothie as well, but part of the satiety factor for me is variety and texture!! The added crunch of some homemade granola or sprouted seeds…mmmm.

I could eat a pound of potatoes (the most satiating food on the planet, really, there’s studies.) And I wouldn’t be satisfied if there wasn’t variety and texture.

Can you relate ?

Bottom line is:

Toppings are a game changer and add a whole new level to your smoothie game so I hope you’ll try this out and let me know what ya think.

Now for the recipe…

Smoothie
 2 Bananas, frozen
 ½ cup Frozen Dark Cherries
 ¼ cup Cashews(raw or roasted & salted)
 Chocolate Almond Milk
Toppings(optional)
 Nuts or Seeds
 Shredded Coconut
 Vegan Chocolate Chips
 Sliced Bananas or Strawberries
 Berries
 Peanut Butter

1

Before you freeze your bananas, be sure to peel them and break them into chunks. This helps so much with the blending process.

2

If needed, add liquid first and slowly add in the frozen ingredients as not to overwhelm your blender or make it work too hard. Each time you blend some until smooth, then add a little more banana, or cherries. Or you can start with 1/2 cup of the plant milk and then as the blender works harder, add splashes to smooth it out.

3

Once you have everything smooth & blended, it's time to serve! Add to a bowl with your favorite toppings. (I used Hemp seeds, Sprouted Pumpkin seeds & Bananas slices.)
