Are you a coffee lover?!

I know I am, for better or for worse.

I feel like coffee has become a controversial topic among health-conscious individuals. And understandably, as coffee does have some negative side effects(I know.. whyyy) These include increasing blood pressure, higher rates of stress and anxiety. Basically, coffee stimulates our fight or flight response in our body. This is the reason for increase in energy!

So while I don’t recommend making it a habit, I insist you enjoy yourself. And if this means having a cup of coffee here and there (or in this case a delicious frappe!) then have it, you must.

This recipe has the added benefits of some very highly nutritious fruit, like banana & dates! So you can trust that while coffee may not be the best for you, this recipe contains some ingredients are extremely beneficial to your health.

I hope you enjoy & please let me know if you like it or comment any substitutes you use to help others! Don’t forget to tag me at ConsciousCrissy on instagram so I can share your pic of this deliciousness 😉

What You'll Need...
½ cup brewed & chilled coffee of your choice
½ cup non dairy milk, your choice
 2 bananas, frozen
 2 medjool dates, pitted
2 tbsp chocolate, your choice(I used enjoy life chocolate chips but you could use cacao nibs or other kind you like)
 1 tsp chocolate, your choice

Directions
1

Add the liquid ingredients into high speed blender, throw in bananas and dates + 1 tbsp of chocolate

2

Blend until smooth

3

Then, add other tbsp of chocolate & blend on medium for only a few seconds - so they're smaller pieces but you still have some to chew on while drinking!

4

Top with remaining tsp of chocolate + some Coco whip if you like!

5

SERVE & ENJOY!!!

TIPS:
6

Instead of chocolate chips or chunks, you could add a couple tsps of cocoa or cacao powder with a couple tsps of sweetener or an extra medjool date!
